On July 27th, SCMS management was invited to join a discussion with Dr. Charles Dupre, superintendent of FBISD, and his staff to discuss a public-private partnership as part of a joint effort to address the educational needs of area public school children.
As a result of these discussions, a synergistic relationship was decided in which SCMS campuses would provide dedicated space, supervision and infrastructure to support area families during their child’s transition from offsite to onsite learning. SCMS decided to introduce this new package as PSSP (Public School Support Plan).
The PSSP is a private school package open to children enrolled in any public school district that will be offered at all three SCMS campuses (two in the Katy area and one in the Sugar Land area) and will include the following:
-Supervision and assistance by PSSP dedicated teachers trained to assist children with public school online curriculum. All teachers are CPR/First Aid certified, background checked and receive annual professional development training in early childhood education.
-A safe study environment in adherence with SCMS’s heightened health and safety protocols, available HERE.
-Asynchronous and synchronous learning support, based on school district requirements
-Lunch time (lunches can be purchased at additional cost)
-”Brain Breaks” rest time
